The Education Ministry is looking into the possibility of implementing the teaching of Science and Mathematics in Bahasa Malaysia for Year One students beginning 2011, a year ahead of schedule.
Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said this would depend on several factors including the adequacy of teachers, how soon the new curriculum could be drafted and whether the text books for Science, Mathematics and English would be ready by next year.
